What is the purpose of this document?
If you choose to use our professional services, the purpose of this document is to inform you about the way I will be processing your personal data and about your legal rights.
What does “processing of personal data” mean?
“Personal data” is any information by means of which a person can be identified (i.e., your own name and surname, ID photo, Italian tax code etc.). “Processing” indicates any operation performed on personal data, whether by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, storage, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.
Is processing of personal data legal?
Yes, if it is performed under the principles and conditions set by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The person/entity processing personal data of a third party must, first and foremost, have a legal basis for processing the data.
What is your legal basis then?
Your inquiry, that is, you are seeking a potential consultation by sending me an email. If after your initial inquiry our relationship turns into a proper contractual relationship, such a contract will be the basis for me to process your personal data.
What kind of personal data will you be processing?
Only your personal data that is necessary for me to provide the service that you asked for. Normally, I do not process sensitive or judicial data, as I do not need them for my consultations.
What are you going to do with my personal data?
I am going to use it to provide my services to you or to respond to your inquiries. If required, I might share your personal data with my collaborators/consultants in relation to specific matters that may arise from your inquiry (i.e., immigration law matters, tax law matters, etc.). In that case, I will share with my collaborators/consultants only the personal data that is necessary in relation to their specific areas of expertise. Finally, I am going to use your personal data to fulfill my legal obligations (i.e., to file my own tax return in relation to any relevant invoice).
Where is my personal data going to be stored?
I will be storing your personal data in my digital archive, whose servers are located in the territory of the European Union. No transfer of your personal data to third parties outside of the European Union will occur. The processing of your personal data will be subject to adequate technical and organizational measures against their unlawful dissemination, modification, cancellation, and loss of availability.
For how long will my personal data be stored in your archives?
Only for the time to answer your inquiry and/or for the time necessary to provide for the professional service that you requested.
What are my legal rights?
You may always contact us at info@eurasiafirms.com to obtain access to your personal data from me, and you may ask for their rectification or erasure or the restriction of the processing, keeping in mind that erasure or restriction of the processing might result in the impossibility for me to provide you with my professional services. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority.
